OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY

Curators of Clay is a pursuit of happiness, peace and beauty, with clay being our medium of choice. 

 

Being exacting about our craftsmanship and obsessive about our aesthetic, everything we make at our studio is handcrafted from start to finish, by one of us.

 

We set up our studio to be more than just a workspace - we wish for it to become a sanctuary, a space for us to further our ambition to live a life full of rapture and wonder.

As creators, we derive inspiration from the environment we interact with - in our case, our medium too, is wholly derived from the natural world.

 

As potters, the elements - earth, fire, air & water - are our allies, and we connect with the world through our creations.

 

Based on these truths, our vision is straightforward.

 

We want our handcrafted ceramics to be loved, cherished, used and enjoyed. 

 

That’s why we describe what we do as ‘Art for everyday use’.
